• North Shore Winery: After a day of adventure, a visit to the North Shore Winery and Sawtooth Mountain Cider House offers the perfect opportunity to savor a taste of Lutsen. Indulge in a diverse selection of red and white wines at their inviting indoor tasting room, or opt for ample outdoor seating nestled amidst their inviting grounds. Additionally, cider lovers will enjoy the delightful array of ciders crafted from locally sourced Minnesota-grown apples.
• Biking: We’re fortunate to have the paved Gitchi Gami State Trail which includes a 12-mile section running right alongside the resort leading all the way to Lutsen. Whether you bring your own bike or opt for one of our complimentary rentals, exploring this picturesque trail is a guest favorite. In addition, we invite you to join our complimentary hike and bike activity which includes a bike ride to Temperance River State Park and a hike along the river’s edge. For single-track enthusiasts seeking an adrenaline-packed adventure, look no further than the Sugarbush Trail Association Trails. Just a quick drive from the resort, these trails offer an exhilarating journey from Tofte to Lutsen Mountains, promising an unforgettable outdoor experience.
• Golf: Superior National at Lutsen is known as the greatest golf by the greatest lake, and we couldn’t agree more. Here, golfers will be immersed in the beauty and challenge of 27 holes set between Lake Superior and the rugged Sawtooth Mountains. Families and groups will also love the FootGolf activity available on the 9-hole Mountain Course. 
• Hiking: Whether you join us on a complimentary guided hike or venture out independently, we have a few favorite hikes in the Lutsen area along the Superior Hiking Trail. Oberg Mountain stands out as one of the most popular North Shore hikes, offering spectacular overlooks along a scenic loop with views of Lake Superior, inland mountains, and lakes. For those seeking a more challenging adventure, we recommend the Moose Mountain summit hike, which begins at the Lutsen Mountains ski hill area and spans 4 rugged miles to reach the peak of Moose Mountain. One of our favorite short overlook hikes is to White Sky along the Caribou Trail road. In addition, Cascade River State Park provides multiple trails with views of the beautiful Cascade River, a stunning overlook, and don't miss the beautiful shoreline where the river flows into Lake Superior.
