Candlelit Ski & Snowshoe

Bluefin Bay Family of Resorts is thrilled to host the Oberg Mountain Candlelit Ski & Snowshoe this year! Head up to the Oberg Mountain parking lot on the Onion River Road for a memorable evening of skiing or snowshoeing along the candlelit trails. This event is a great way to enjoy the quiet beauty of the north woods after dark by the flickering lights of candles in the snow. Be sure to stop by the bonfire for a cup of cocoa, a cookie, and live music with other winter enthusiasts.

• Snowshoe & Hiking Route: There will be approximately 1/2 mile of candlelit hiking trails. The hiking trail is part of the LeVeaux Mountain trail and will take guests through a stunning fire forest to a bridge over the Onion River. This section of trail is rated beginner
• Cross Country Skiing Route: There will be approximately 1k of candlelit skiing trails. The ski trail is part of the Onion River Road section of the Sugarbash Trails and is rated beginner. 

This event is open to everyone and no sign-ups are required.

Shuttles from Bluefin Bay Guest Services will be as follows: 

• Departing from Guest Services: 5:30 pm, 5:45 pm, 6:00 pm, 6:15 pm, 6:30 pm, 6:45 pm, 7:00 pm & 7:15 pm
• Departing from Oberg Mountain Trailhead: 6:30 pm, 6:45 pm, 7:00 pm, 7:15 pm, 7:30 pm, 7:45pm, 8:00 pm & 8:15 pm
